Central Scorpions Trials (Summer State League 0708 A reminder that the Central Scorpions Trials for state league 2007-08 are being held this weekend. If you are unable to attend, please fill out the attached nomination form and return it to the regional coordinator before the 1st trial.

You are invited to attend the Central Scorpions trials at City Touch fields (park 17, corner Greenhill and Beaumont Roads, Eastwood)
Trial 1: Friday 5th October 2007, Women and Men: 6:15-8pm.
Trial 2: Sunday 7th October 2007, Women and Men: 4-5:30pm.

Central Scorpions Update 26-Feb-07 I would like to say a quick congratulations to all players and officials who represented the Central Scorpions this season to help us win the Regional Championship for the 4th time in the state league history (out of 10 seasons), and for the 3rd time in the last 4 seasons, making us the most successful region in the competition.

Crusaders Movie Night - Sat 3 March First of all, I would like to congratulate all Central Scorpion and SA players who made selections into the Crusaders (SA, VIC, TAS) Opens and 20s representatives sides which are going to Coffs Harbour in March for NTL. This is the highest level of competition in Australia but can also challenge the bank account. As a result, the SA players are conducting a Movie Night fundraising event on Saturday 3rd March at Picadilly Cinema in North Adelaide (more details in flyer). Please show your support and purchase a ticket for you or your family/friends from any of the Crusders representatives, in particular the Scorpions reps Mills, Alyse, Jess Ryan, and Teash who will be seen at state league this weekend.

Central Scorpions function - Sunday 4th March Hi all,
The committee has decided on the time and date of the Central Scorpions "end of season" Presentation Function to be 12:30 Sunday 4th March. All players, officials, families, partners and friends are invited so please put this date in your diaries now! More details will be sent once they have been finalised.

This is a great chance to share in the club's successes on and off the field, and to thank the volunteers that have put in time and effort to make this state league season possible.

New Kukri Uniforms The state league competition has been to secure a sponsorship deal with Kukri which means our club will be purchasing new uniforms to be worn by all players around Round 8 (Friday February 9th). At this point in time, we need to look into the design and make a decision by mid week so that orders can be placed by 11th December. Sizing of uniforms will be conducted at training this Friday and finalised on Sunday. more -->

Reminder - 1st Training Session & BBQ (3-Nov-06) Just a reminder to all players that the 1st training session for the Central Scorpions will be held this Friday 3rd November 6:30pm-8:00pm at the "usual place" (meet at clubrooms, Park 17, Greenhill Rd). If you have not yet replied to accept your position in the squad, please do so asap.

To welcome everyone to the club, the Central Scorpions will be putting on a BBQ at no cost to players and officials (family members also welcome) at the clubrooms after training. Crusaders Info For those that are not aware, Crusaders are the combined representative team for SA, VIC and TAS. The Crusaders play in the National Touch League (NTL) against teams from around Australia and the NTL is the highest level of competition within Australia. At the moment, Crusaders are calling for nominations for teams which will be competing at next year's NTL in March 2007.
